okay so, suguharu, candyappleshipping, kieflo, whatever you wanna call them. my beloved stupid yaois who i feel embarrassed about but theyre funny to me. my horrible freak son kieran who unhealthily idolizes some guy that he has a one sided thing with vs guy who doesnt talk a lot but is so effortlessly liked and well-adjusted and kind and represents everything kieran wishes he could be. now what if they were gay and florian is pokemon british and kieran gives him an applin, a pokemon british tradition as a confession of romantic feelings. what if kieran was implied to be into the player always no matter what.
so yeah, im invested in the friends to one sided crush to enemies to friends to maybe lovers maybe friends i dont really care. theyve got that homestuck romance thing going on, i think its kismesitude? idk i never got that far LOL. theyre just really funny to me and i love seeing peoples interpretations of them. they can be platonic, romatnic, neither, both, something nebulous and undefined. i just like them. i think conceptually they present unique ways to interpret both characters, yes even the blank slate protagonist. im a sucker for the good ol' protag/rival ship what can i say. if i mentioned my passing interest in preciousmetal, greysky, loverival, etc im sure it wouldnt surprise anyone, but candyapple is the real one i like a lot.
